J. K. PLACE TRUE PARISIAN CHIC

At home, right in the heart of Paris left bank, in Saint-Germain-des-Près at its most elegant…where J. K. Place Paris reinvents the subtle art of Italian French hospitality.

J. K. are the initials of Jonathan Kafri, an Italian businessman who opened its first hotel in 2003 in Florence, the jewel of the Renaissance, soon followed by the openings in Capri, the jet-set paradise and later Rome, a city bursting with history.  All of them were refurbished by interior Florentine architect and designer, Michele Bönan.

Success has led, Ori Kafri, Jonathan’s son, to overtake the company and start expanding outside of Italy, as a fine hotelier, along with Eduardo Safdie. Paris, came immediately as a priority option. Ori, found of art, started scouting for future locations and ended up under the charm of a building dating back to the 18th century, longtime Norwegian consulate and almost abandoned for many years. The perfect location immediately attracted Ori as the building is only a few minutes away from the iconic Musée d’Orsay.

It sounded like an evidence that Bönan’s fresh approach and recognized talent to interpret five-star hotels, would be in charge of the J.K. Place Paris. His charismatic approach of Italian style became famous with his blend of mid-century furniture, contemporary art, and splashes of bold color.

Michele Bönan’s career in hospitality architecture began in 1995 with the conception of Florence’s Hotel Lungarno, the first of a series of Italian projects that he has done for the Ferragamo’s family Lungarno Collection of Hotels, suites & yachts.

There is more to this hotel than its 29 luxury rooms and a unique location. We love the high-ceilinged rooms, individually designed with a mix of plush fabrics and elegantly chosen antiques. Some have contemporary canopied four-posters, others have beds backed by statement headboards, all of which are exceptionally comfortable. Walk-in wardrobes are generously sized as the black-and-white marble bathrooms. Astonishingly, absolutely everything bears the J.K. monogram, from the robes and towels down to the ready-charged power banks.

The J.K. Place Rive Gauche also houses its own Casa Tua restaurant. This exclusive eatery is one of the most famous in London, NY, Miami Beach, Florida, along with an outpost in Aspen.

The restaurant is a worthwhile destination in its own right, the kitchen turning out a simply savory Italian menu that’s set to vary by season.

There is more to discover at J. K. Place Paris for an unparalleled beauty and wellness experience via four high-tech luxury treatments from the luxury scientific skincare brand Noble Panacea…. the ultra-tech Gym until the Lounge Bar cocktails and the made-to-measure services that J. K. Place has its own secrets.

Once you stay here, you will enjoy coming back …and forth!
